Swallows are a Problem in Tooele, Utah

It’s no secret that swallows are, in general, a problem.  But for the residents in Tooele, Utah, they are a HUGE problem.  Every migratory season, we get tons of calls from people in Tooele searching for a solution to their problem.

The problem with swallows is that they are creatures of habit.  Once they’ve successfully nested at a site, they will continually return to that site year after year.  When it comes to bridges and caves, this nesting habit isn’t such an issue.  However, when it’s a home, this can be a huge problem! Especially because of the bird bugs that can live inside of swallow nests.

Take it from these customers, swallows are very problematic!

I believe we have swallows nesting all around our house. At one point, there were a dozen nests built on the house. The nests have been knocked down, but the birds remain. The birds will swoop at myself and my outdoor cat. We just bought the house in May.  I know that birds have been inside the house at some point prior to us moving in because there was bird poop in the kitchen. There was also a bird nest on the upstairs ceiling fan. The nest had two decayed baby birds inside and a mother bird dead in the attic. The inside of the attic crawl space also has bird droppings and feathers. It is a terrible mess and I would like everything removed and cleaned as soon as possible.  It’s not only a nuisance but also a serious health concern for me.

I have a barn swallow problem.  The main part of the problem is that they’re not on a barn, they’re on my house.  I know they’re protected birds so I don’t know how to get rid of them? I try and keep up with knocking the nests down once they’re built but after a while, the birds seem to win.  Once they’ve laid eggs I know I can’t touch the nests until the baby birds are out of it.  I need help preventing them from building on my house in the first place since I know if they build I can’t keep up with them.  I don’t know if you have a type of netting or some sort of deterrent you could use but I really need your help.  Not only are they noisy and messy, but they are bringing these gross bugs into my house!  I need them gone ASAP!

I need some help, right now I’m preparing because in a few months these birds will come and migrate to our house.  We’re the only house on the block with this problem! I believe that they are –not sparrows- but swallows, and I know that they are protected during sometime but I wanted to see if you guys could help me put up some netting or something else that would stop them from nesting on my home. We have about eight nests that were built on the house that we\\\'ve washed down from last season but we want to ensure that they don\\\'t come back this year.  Please let me know.

If you or someone you know is having problems with swallows, feel free to give us a call.

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Tooele and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

Wildlife Problems in Tooele, Utah

Residents of Tooele, Utah are finding more and more problems with the local wildlife.  Below are some of their stories.

I have at least one skunk that is either living in my garage or coming in somehow each night. It has been spotted several evenings over the past week. On Saturday night we could smell it. It may have been after my cat but I’m not sure. It tried digging through the garage door and damaged the insulation. I have tried removing the trash and cat food from the garage but it still is there and it’s getting to be a major concern. Anything you can do would be appreciated.

Squirrels have begun to nest in our attic space. We are requesting trapping and removal services for the squirrels and most importantly we need preventative closure to adjacent roof areas. We have seen at least four squirrels exiting the attic space near the vent. There are at least 3 separate attic areas that need to be inspected and secured for any other entrances. In addition, we have eave damage from woodpeckers that we would like fixed. Thank you.

There are raccoons in my granddaughter’s playhouse outside.  They have to have moved in in the last week, that’s how long it has been since I went inside. When my granddaughter went out to play they hissed and swiped at her.  She said there was one “big one” and three babies.  Could someone please come remove these animals as soon as possible?  It’s supposed to be a safe place for my grandbaby to play.  Thank you very much.
