Pest Problems in Washington, Utah

The locals of Washington, Utah might consider the term “pest” to be very mild when it comes to describing their situations.  Some of the most common animals that we deal with in this area are skunks and raccoons, two very large animals that can cause very large problems.

The stories we share with you here are from three customers that had “pest” problems.  Luckily we were able to help remove the animals and give them their homes back.

I have a couple of little skunks that have been wandering in my backyard at night. So far we haven\'t had any trouble with them but they\'ve been fighting with some raccoons back there. My hunch is that I\'m going to get sprayed pretty soon. I was just wondering if we would be able to get them removed or what else we could do about it before anything happens. Thanks.

We have a raccoon (possibly a family) living under our back deck. We have tried to block off their entry points and make the location less appealing by spraying it with a hose, but it keeps coming back. Every season, around springtime, we hear the sounds of it down there. How effective is it to remove them and what is the likelihood that they or others will return? No one has been attacked by the raccoon, but we did see it out during the day time once and it has once or twice growled at us from beneath the deck as we walked by. The problem seems to occur every spring and goes on into the summer. We haven\'t noticed any actual damage to the house at this point, and we haven’t noticed the garbage cans being overturned or opened. The problem is causing us to worry and making it harder to enjoy our backyard without anxiety.

We have a problem with skunks in our backyard. I do not know if it is the same skunk that comes around or not, but it is the second time my dog has been spray sprayed. This skunk comes up on my porch and will lay under my glider so naturally when my dog is out there, there is a confrontation. The smell was so bad inside my house, it literally made me sick. I could not breathe very well and I wear oxygen.  Please help, thank you.

Dealing with these animals and many other kinds of wildlife can be tricky and sometimes dangerous; we don’t want you to have to do it alone.  Feel free to call the number at the top of your screen and we will do our best to help you with your “pest” problem.

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Washington and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

Birds in Washington, Utah

No matter how cute birds are, they can be a nuisance.  If you don’t believe us, ask the residents of Washington, Utah, I’m sure they’ll agree.  Birds can cause a long list of damages to a home, and to a homeowner’s sanity.  It’s not just homes, however, birds can also cause problems in public areas and need to be removed

The following stories come from customers who were absolutely at their wits end with the birds on their properties.  Luckily, we were able to help them control, even remove the problem birds from the area.

For the past couple of days we have been hearing scratching and chirping we think coming from the attic and I\'m not sure what to do. I have kind of looked up there but was very hesitant because I didn\'t want anything to come flying out considering we have a cat and two dogs.  Plus having them loose inside of the house is probably not a great idea.  I’m not sure what kind of bird it is but I need it/them removed.  Any help you could provide I would be very grateful.  Thank you!

We have swallows that are building nests by our main entrance and recess entrance to our school. They are dive bombing people and pooping all over everything, including on several students! We have tried several methods over the years to get rid of them, but they have always come back.  We need serious help removing these birds from the campus so no harm comes to students or faculty.  Thanks.

We are having a problem with at least 1 woodpecker causing the majority of the damage on one side of our house near the corners of the building. It will peck for about half of an hour everyday around 9:30 AM. This is the second or third year that it has been a problem. We have tried several things to prevent its return (filling the holes, fake owl, shiny tape over the holes, loud noises) but the bird just keeps coming back. We think that we need a professional now.

Birds are meant to be enjoyed in nature, not in your attic.  We don’t want you to feel like your home or any other property is under control of any type of wildlife, not just birds.  If you are having any kind of wildlife problem, feel free to call the number at the top of the screen and we will do our best to help you.
