Raccoon Troubles in Canton, Michigan

The masked bandits are back at it again in Canton, Michigan!

I have a large raccoon destroying my yard every night and making it difficult to walk my dogs at night, especially if I work late my kids are afraid to walk the dogs as the animal will actually approach us and hiss. Also, I turned on the back porch light a few nights ago and a raccoon AND a fox were both tearing up the yard. I’d like to remove the raccoon first then will see if that takes care of the problem.     -Raquel R

Raccoons are tunneling under my drive, front porch, and A/C slab.  This has been going on this year for about a month but they were here in previous years. There are no sounds of young or smell of death but occasionally I will see feces in the lawn. I have tried to repel them with moth balls and ammonia but am not having much luck getting them to move. The problem is moderate but I would like to take care of it before more young animals are involved. There are no problems with allergies, illnesses, or attacks, although I did see 5 raccoons one morning when I was out to get the paper.       -Joshua N

There are 2 or 3 raccoons that go onto my roof almost every night. The lighting is not very good so I can\'t see how big they actually are but I\'ve gotten a quick glance of them in my neighbor’s backyard, or at least enough to see that they are raccoons. I\'m not sure if they are in my attic. Their scratching is quite disturbing since my window is always open. They use the tree by my window to get onto the roof. I have heard them for at least 5 months.            -Larry H

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Canton and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

For pigeon and bird control, bat removal, or relief from other pest animals, call our wildlife management experts. Many nuisance wildlife companies offer critter capture and control; our wildlife operators provide professional pest wild animal management. We remove the following AND MORE:

  • Bats from attics, eaves and belfries

Animal Problems in Canton, Michigan

Residents of Canton, Michigan are having animal problems 24/7.

I work for a local construction company. In 3 of our buildings where we park trucks and other equipment we have pigeons that come in to roost but don’t have any nests. We are always coming and going so the doors are always open in the summer. Netting and spikes are not an option due to the large area we would have to cover. There is not a large number of birds just enough to mess things up. The most I have seen together at one time is 5.         -Craig W

I have a problem with mice that come out at night, leaving tons of droppings, eating through plastic cases of food. We\'ve set traps and have caught about 8-10, but there are still more. There is a small hole between the wall and cupboard that I\'ve caught one running into, so I\'m assuming that\'s where they are living or are at least getting to their nest.     -Skylar O

The first bat we saw in our house was in July. We thought it came in through a small area that was not sealed off near the window air conditioner. That was in the upstairs bedroom. Later we found him dead with puncture wound on his stomach. It may have been my cat that got it. There were two other bats earlier this summer flying in the main part of the house. There have also been two of them in the last seven days in the basement. One of those 2 was only an hour ago!  We’re worried we have an infestation and would like an inspection.            -Julie D
