Calhoun County, Michigan Seeks Solutions for Bat Problems
Bat Control is our Specialty in Calhoun County, Michigan
We bought a house last year and did not realize the attic was infested with bats. We do not know if the former owners knew about the problem. Everytime we go outside in the summer there are hundreds of bats flying at you. It is like living in a horror movie. I know they eat bugs and all that, but they are creepy and I want them gone. Joni H.
Bats are somehow getting into either my attic or a fake dormer on the front of the house. They are making a lot of noise--quite a racket late at night with screeching and scratching. I looked in my attic and can't smell or see anything yet but they might be roosting on an adjacent wall that I don't have access to. My neighbor told me she saw them coming and going under a fascia board on the back of the house. Help! Gary F.
We have what seems to be a single bat in our home for about three weeks. We first noticed the droppings and suspected mice in the finished basement. For the last two nights the bat wakes me up flitting about the room very fast, out into the hall back to the living room, etc. Yes, it is actually inside the house! Although I hurriedly open the front door I have not been able to flush him out. This morning I opened all three exits to our home, and went through the entire house moving picture frames or any place I thought he could be hiding, but was unable to find him or get him to stir. Please come find it for me! Walter T.

Calhoun County Wild Animal Control News, Stories, Events and Alerts
In Calhoun County, Michigan skunk problems are common
If you have skunk troubles, you are not alone. Many residents of Calhoun County, Michigan seek skunk removal.
There is a family of at least six skunks living in our block. They are disturbing the whole neighborhood of homes because they are out in yards in middle of day. These skunks are quite unafraid of people, walking right up on decks and up to porch doors, eating pet food and other things. Local animal control officers say they don't do skunks and we are getting desperate!! Kent A.
There is a Skunk living under the concrete front porch of my house. I tried setting up a live trap in front of the hole - unfortunately this doesn't seem to be working. Which might be for the best as I am not sure what to do with the skunk if I do catch it. The spraying smell of the skunk is horrible and my entire house is starting to smell. William B.
We have a group of skunks living under our front porch. Our neighbors have seen a skunk going under the porch on various occasions during the evening and morning, but occasionally even during the day. We sometimes smell a strong skunk odor at night. I have found many cone shaped holes in our front yard. I have also heard what might be a skunk walking around at night. Also occasionally, our trash cans are knocked over. Mitchell H.
