Worchester County, Maryland has Raccoon Problems

Homeowners are fed up with Raccoons and want to get rid of the pests.

I live in a trailer and have raccoons in my ceiling. I thought they were mice and have put mice poison in my ceiling. Not sure if I have both up there but something has eaten a hole through my ceiling and my son said he saw huge feet and the snout of a coon peering through the hole. Sue B.

I have been combating raccoons for years. The city only has a part time animal warden and even though he does his best, he really can't afford the time to trap and remove all the raccoons in the city. A few years back I had the spaces beneath the gutter overhang of the roof closed off. The raccoons keep peeling back the endcaps of this area and living in there. I can't shoot them, it's illegal. I don't have the resources to trap them and dispose of them myself. There are also skunks in the area and I don't want one of those in a trap so I need professional assistance assuming it is affordable. Kenneth S.

We have seen 2 raccoons peek out at us from under our deck...not sure if there are any babies. Our deck has about a 1 foot opening from the ground to the deck (we just installed a screened in porch and have not put the skirt boards on the deck yet!!!) We have recently seen the raccoons go from the deck and climb the tree in our yard. We were interested in getting rid of these animals for good! Please provide an estimate. Kim R.

Wildlife Removal Services removes all sorts of wild animals and birds from residential and commercial properties, including bats, snakes, pigeons, skunks, raccoons, swallows, woodpeckers, voles, beavers, and rodents of every kind. Wild animals on your property can damage vegetation and structures and reduce property value. They also bring disease and a host of insect pests with them, which can adversely affect you, your family, and your pets. In your walls, in your attic, or on your roof wild animals can keep you up at night and their urine and droppings create a horrific smell. After my technicians and I perform wild animal removal, we can provide cleanup, sanitization, and deodorization to help restore your property; we can also provide exclusion services to keep your wildlife problem from recurring. Whether the problem is a colony of bats in a building, raccoons in the attic, or destructive behaviors of critters such as squirrels, gophers and pigeons, we can solve it.

We resolve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Worcester County and surrounding areas. Give me a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

The situations we resolve and main trapping and removal services we provide are: raccoon families in attics and chimneys, woodpeckers drilling siding. mud swallow nests on stucco, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, voles and gophers destroying lawns, skunks stealing pet food, bat infestations, and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their commotion and smell. Raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that I and my professional wildlife removal operators are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don’t hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, bat guano cleanup, pigeon waste removal, mouse dropping cleanup, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

Opossums Cause Problems in Worchester County, Maryland

Opossums have worn out their welcome in Worchester County

I think we have an opossum living in our attic. We have no pets but have had a flea infestation in our home in the past couple weeks and had to call pest control to get rid of the fleas, and they also set up some mouse traps because we have been hearing noises in the attic for some time (maybe a month or month-and-a-half). But I think some of the noises are so loud that they cannot be mice, it has to be some bigger, heavier animal. This morning we heard several loud thuds and scratching noises like claws dragging across the ceiling. The other clue is the timing - we always hear the noises at around the same time, 4 or 5 a.m. I am home during the day but I never hear anything in daytime - could it be that the opossum sleeps during the day but then goes out at night and comes back before dawn? Amy E.

I have an opossum that is under my house and has gotten between my subflooring and my bathtub. We have set a trap near the location that I believe she entered the crawl space of my home but she has not come out. This has happened before and I I thought we got them all but she is back again :<(. Please advise me on how to get rid of this opossum. She is ruining the underside of my home. I can't get the HVAC people to come repair the duct work until the opossum and its odors are gone. Maggie C.

We have a family of opossum that have been living under our house and have entered the duct system and tried to gain entry through the air vents. We need to have them removed before it gets any colder because we are concerned they are damaging the insulation under the house and know they have already damaged some of the duct work under the house. We would like them removed but do not wish them to be killed. We have contacted the county animal control and have received no help from them. Susan N.
