Raccoons are Common Pests in Saginaw County, Michigan

You are not the only one with Raccoon Problems in Saginaw County, Michigan

We have a Raccoon we believe is living under our back porch. We have seen it twice in the last week during the day time. It does not appear aggressive, however, it has purposely come out while we are outside and its coat is not in great condition. We have a 2 year old child who plays in the back yard and I am fearful if the Raccoon is nesting under the porch and may want to protect its young. Amy B.

I have found droppings in my yard all in one place that seem to be from different occasions (some looks older). I am concerned that the droppings are from a Raccoon. I have also had a few vegetable plants that were from my garden. They were not dug-up just gone from the soil level up. Is it normal for a Raccoon to leave droppings in plain sight? I thought most wild animals conceal, hide, or bury their dropping. Could this be a sign of a sick animal? Allen G.
