I have rats in my crawl space (hopefully nothing else), and need to get them out. They have been in there a couple of months. I have only seen one, but assume there are more. Kristen S.

Pima County resident has a big problem with woodpeckers' holes damage.

I have had 2 woodpeckers drilling at my two story cedar-sided house for the last couple of months. The hole is up high in the pitch where not many ladders reach. They finally got into the attic a couple of weeks ago. Not at all quiet, there are constant pecking noises. I am not sure if the female is in the attic somewhere nesting or if maybe she actually hatched and they left. We looked up there but it's pretty hard to tell with blow-in insulation. Do you have any advice about getting rid of woodpeckers? I heard that it is a stiff fine to kill them because they are on the endangered species list.
