Lapeer County, Michigan has a large swallow population

Lapeer County, Michigan residents look to get rid of swallows:

SWALLOW HAS MADE A NEST WHERE YOU ENTER THE FRONT DOOR AND I THINK HAS THREE KIDS IN THERE. THERE IS A LOT OF DROPPINGS BUT THEY ATTACK US WHEN WE EVEN OPEN THE DOOR. Ali S.

I may have two swallow\\\'s nests at the overhang of my roof but I am not sure. Can I please get an estimate on how much it will cost to remove them and what will be involved? Gloria B.

I have cliff swallows attempting to build nests on my outside patio under the roof. The area is about 40 feet by 10 feet and they are nesting all around the patio. There are probably about 80 to 100 birds flying around. We have been washing down their nests every night but they will not stop. Darin M.

I was changing the oil in my daughters car when I heard the oh too familiar sound of swallows chirping in the rafters above me.  I had a problem with them a few years back and it looks like round two is about to start.  I tried to do it myself last time but since they’re back it might be the universe telling me to hire a professional.  To hire Michigan Wildlife Control!

Questions about Raccoons

Raccoons seem to crawl up the outside of our chimney and through the huge holes that they have made by pulling down the soffit. They continue to dig once they’re inside, and have caused a lot of damages. Other than the large one I\'ve heard a few babies, above the ceiling in my bathroom. We\'ve tried a couple things, we closed up the soffit that they were breaking through, but they just tore right through our repairs.  We even set out a live trap, but the next morning the bait was gone, the trap was closed, and there were no raccoons in sight.  What can we do?

It’s likely that the baby raccoons are too young to move in and out of the house themselves, which is why the mother raccoon was so adamant to get back inside of the house.  It’s also possible that she could be trap shy, or the trap you bought just wasn’t built to handle a mother raccoon.  If you want to deal with the problem on your own, you will have to wait for the babies to be big enough to move on their own and when they’re all out of the house, seal off the soffit.  Of course, you will still want to clean and decontaminate the area they were nesting in.

We resolve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Lapeer County and surrounding areas. Give me a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

The situations we resolve and main trapping and removal services we provide are: raccoon families in attics and chimneys, woodpeckers drilling siding. mud swallow nests on stucco, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, voles and gophers destroying lawns, skunks stealing pet food, bat infestations, and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their commotion and smell. Raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? Lapeer County, Michigan is home to many raccoons

Lapeer County, Michigan residents have raccoon removal needs:

Need help removing raccoons that were just accidentally sealed into our attic crawlspace by a roofer. Please call asap. Brian M.

We have raccoons that are living between the fence between our neighbors yard and ours. They are not afraid of my Rottweiler and are very happy parading around my pool and yard. I would really like to get rid of these pests... don\\\'t know how many there are but they are brazen and unafraid. This evening one came to the 2nd floor balcony and looked into my family room /with two dogs, I don\\\'t want them here. Yvette M.

I have not seen the animal however in the evening more so than the day time. You hear \\\"someone / thing\\\" creaking the floor of the attic. We have gone into the attic to investigate. We don\\\'t see the animal ever but there are 2 \\\"nests\\\" if you will: One above our bathroom and then the other is over our daughter\\\'s room. It seems they have abandoned the one over our bathroom. You can also smell a very strong smell of urine when you walk into my son\\\'s room and is getting worse. We thought maybe he had issue but that is not the case there is brand new carpeting, bed is clean. Please I need some advice and help. It is important that we resolve this issue as soon as we can. I have a chronic disease and need to start medication that will be suppressing my immune system and will run a great risk of infection. For my health and the health of everyone in this house we need to get rid of this animal please. Liz M.

I’ve been seeing raccoons wandering around in my backyard for about a month.  They haven’t done any damage to my property.. YET!  They do, however, get frighteningly close to my children and me and don’t seem very afraid when I shoo them away.  I want them gone before something happens!

-Sandy A.

Visiting my grandmother I discovered that she had two extra guests staying in the basement.. Raccoons!!  She has a hard time hearing and didn’t even realize that they had snuck in and make themselves a comfy home.  Now I’m just trying to find someone who can get rid of them and not rob her.  She is 92 after all.
