Raccoons are wreaking Kent County, Michigan

Raccoon Removal is a hot topic in Kent County, Michigan.

We recently had a one-way door placed in our attic so a mother raccoon and her babies could get out. More and more we can strongly smell urine in our dining room. What would clean-up cost? It isn’t very easy to get to that part of the attic. We’re glad the raccoon is gone, but the mess and smell are still here. I have never been up there and the only other way is to go in through the dining room ceiling. Paul H.

We seem to have a raccoon in our attic, moving around between the first and second floors. It makes noise in the morning and at night. Yes, it likes to make noise basically whenever we are trying to get to sleep or stay that way. Brittany B.

I rent a house that has a crawl space that is really easy to access. That is great for me when I want to get there, but lately I have seen a pack of 5 raccoons enter under the house and hear them almost banging around and, what sounds like, tearing up ductwork. I also think a skunk may stay under there from time to time. Occasionally, I smell a skunk smell inside my house, which I do not smell outside. Great, the animals are invading me. Traci Y.

We resolve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Kent County and surrounding areas. Give me a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

The situations we resolve and main trapping and removal services we provide are: raccoon families in attics and chimneys, woodpeckers drilling siding. mud swallow nests on stucco, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, voles and gophers destroying lawns, skunks stealing pet food, bat infestations, and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their commotion and smell. Raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that I and my professional wildlife removal operators are prepared to solve.

Kent County, Michigan Residents are Fed Up with Bat Problems

Hot bat removal topics in Kent County, Michigan:

Hello, I presently live in a condominium where bats have decided to live. They crawl and scratch in our wall at night. It is frightening to hear them scratching / moving around. We live in a condominium, and the bats are located in the second story wall. The entrance to their home is right off of our porch where there is a crack between the roof and the wall. A while back the maintenance guy placed a net with wood (pieces of 2x4) hanging from it. I don't know what they expected but it isn't working. It has been up for months now and the bats go on flying in and out from underneath it. I am concerned for my health, as we have had to live with a smelly/ musky odor. What are the hazards of exposure to these feces in my wall? I do not like my current situation because it is just getting worse. Carl V.

We have noticed an occasional bat in past years, but this year we spotted hundreds of bats pouring out from under the eave of the house where the roof met the outside brick wall. I checked again tonight, and I believe I witnessed around five hundred bats leaving our attic. How did we not notice before now? We are concerned that our problem and the needed clean up will be big. Bernadette D.

My husband sealed off a vent after I noticed this summer I had a bat problem. Approximately 30 bats flew from the vent one night, so the next night my husband sealed them out after he thought they all left. But I later heard frantic scratching noises. What that them trying to get out? Now nothing is making noise, but there is a smell. Is this problem not over yet? Randi W.
