at Problems are common in Genesee County, Michigan

Bats regularly enter into neighborhoods on Genesee County, Michigan.

I have a crawl-space under my house. Somewhere in there, there are bats. I thought bats would only like attics, but they are there. They have taken up residence and one occasionally shows up in the house. I CANNOT LIVE LIKE THIS. I have no idea how many bats are there, but I want them out. Now. Trina H.

I have bats in my attic. I had a person come out last June. He told me that I had to wait until September/October after the babies were able to fly, so that we could be sure to get all of the bats are out. I want a reliable, professional wildlife removal person to help me with this problem, so I need a written estimate on the removal of the bats and the cost for roof repair (so they can\'t get back in) and guano removal. Donald G.

We have squirrels and bats in our attic. The squirrels have entered the attic at the corners of the roof of the house, through holes they chewed through the fascia. We have tried to cover the holes, but power lines are connected to the house and I am uncomfortable working around them. The bats are entering the attic at multiple points all along the peak sides of the house. I am really not sure which is worse, but I guess I would like both the e squirrels and the bats gone. We would like to get an estimate of the cost to remove them both and temporarily repair the damage. Tony T.

We had a bat in our basement that was stirring up a lot of trouble and making a mess, and the company we had remove the bat says we have more in the house in either the crawl space/attic or in our walls. We don\'t know what to do we need some help.

-Brad K.

While fixing my gutters and getting them in order, I found one bat and enough guano to have come from an army.  I know there has to be more than just this one bat and I’d like someone else to worry about it.  I’ll fix the gutters if you’ll get rid of the bats!

Questions about Bats

I have bats in my attic, the ceiling is finished so it’s hard to trap them and release them outside, once in a while I hear noises from them and excrement drops to the attic floor from the small cracks from the ceiling. Once in a while the bats make their way out from those cracks and are flying inside the house. I desperately need them away from the house! What can I do?

Bat removal can be a tricky and delicate process, especially because bats are protected for their environmental benefits.  They can only be evicted from a home or building during specific periods of the year.  The other problem is how easily they can fit into a space; bats only need about ¼ of an inch or larger to be able to squeeze inside.  That being said, to KEEP bats out of a structure, any gap that fits into that margin needs to be properly sealed.  Because the process can be so difficult if you don’t know the rules and regulations that the Division of Wildlife lays out for bat removal, it’s usually best to bring in professionals for the removal of the bats and the guano.

Raccoons Raid Genesee County, Michigan

Hot Raccoon Removal Topics in Genesee County, Michigan

I believe I have a raccoon or some other type of wildlife living under the floor in my home. It is most active in the middle of the night and it makes so much noise it is driving me and my dog crazy. There is a lot of scratching and chewing noises that usually starts around midnight. And, goes on and on until nearly dawn. Everet H.

We have at least one raccoon in our attic. We put live trap in the attic now for two months and still have not caught it. We have put a radio in the attic, but the noise only seems to bother us. We left the hole it tore in the vent opened up hoping it would leave. Then we covered the hole hoping it would get hungry and get in the live trap. Nothing has worked. To make matters worse our house is for sale and we need to get rid of the raccoon fast. Samantha T.

I think this is a simple one for pros like you. There is a raccoon in my attic. I\'ve seen it several times. I know how it gets in and out, and up and down from my roof. I am tired of the noise, mess and smell. I\'d rather professionals take care of it than deal with it myself. Jesse L.

I had technicians in my home about a year ago.  While they were working in the chimney, trying to catch a raccoon, my family sat outside and enjoyed lunch on the patio.  My youngest son just loved to sit on the grass and watch to see if it would run out.  Out of nowhere, he pointed and called out “Mommy look! She’s flying!” I looked up just in time to see the raccoon soaring through the air from the roof, and landing right near my son.  Luckily she didn’t touch him, she just ran off and we never saw her again!

-Lauren N.

My family and I left the house empty to take a weekend trip to Lake Huron and returned to find we have a guest, an uninvited one!  There’s now a raccoon taking residence up in our attic and we just don’t know what to do with it!

-Justin M.
