Skunks Torment Homeowners in Pontiac, Michigan

Hot skunk removal topics in Pontiac, Michigan:

I have a skunk living in my yard. I saw it last week ambling towards my deck. I thought it was just visiting and trying to pick up a bird seed snack. But last night it was at my deck again last night digging in the ground. How do I get rid of this thing I have stopped feeding the birds and squirrels out there. The smell isn't bad yet, but I know it only takes once! Mel P.

For about a month a skunk has been living under the crawl space of a new addition to our home. At first it wasn't bad, but about a week ago the odor became so strong, it was noticed on my clothing and even food. I'm worried we will never get the odor out of the home. And I really want the skunk itself gone, too. We need help. Mary W.

I believe there is some kind of animal, probably a skunk or opossum living under our house. There are clues: I have found some pieces of fiberglass insulation from the flex air duct at the air registers. Is the critter tearing into the air duct and using the insulation for a nest? I have noticed that one of the foundation screens leading under the house has been torn open. I suppose that is where the animal entered. Julia R.

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Pontiac and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

There are Opossums in Pontiac, Michigan?

Here is a sample of the Opossum Encounters experienced by residents of Pontiac, Michigan:

I need help with my animal problem. Supposedly there is an Opossum my home. I don't really mind the animal too much, but people claim that it will be eating the wiring, and cut off the electricity. It has been here for a for a couple weeks now. We were hoping that you could get rid of it. Val A.

I found an opossum that I thought was sleeping last night in the back yard. It is still there in the same position as last night. I'm assuming it is dead but how can I tell? I have no idea how long they sleep/play dead and I don't want to disturb it. It's now going on 20 hrs since I first found it. Do they sleep that long? It is still in the same position as last night. Joey H.

I think there is an opossum in the attic above my bedroom and it has been there for about a week now. My father confirmed that it is an opossum today when he went up to see what was causing the scratching and thumping noises that wake me up in the early morning. Coming face to face with an opossum in the morning is hard on everyone—human and opossum. But, he pulled himself together and tried to chase it out but to no avail. Kelli K.
