Berkeley, California is Troubled by Squirrel Noise

People in Berkeley, California want to get rid of noisy squirrels

We have squirrel problems, one or more gray squirrel have entered the attic via the vent on the side of the house below the precipice of roof. In fact they chewed through the wood vent. They are very noisy and it could be more than one. Mark D.

I have found black oil sunflower seeds in my attic. I have seen chipmunks around my home and in the back and front yards therefore I believe this may be the critter in the attic. I have not actually seen the animal just evidence that something is or has been in the attic. I also suspect it could be squirrels, as I have seen them in the neighbor\'s yard. I would appreciate some assistance in resolving my problem. Tiffany C.

I believe I have squirrels in the attic. They are active at night, every night, and I know where they are entering the house. I have had them in the home before but not for several years. Jeff E.

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Berkeley and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

Berkeley Wild Animal Control News, Stories, Events and Alerts

Berkeley, CA enacts new law banning feeding of wild animals in city parks

The City of Berkeley, California has put a new law into place banning the feeding of wild animals in city parks and any public spaces.  The move was in response to the outcry the city received after announcing they would trap and kill hundreds of squirrels and gophers in Cesar Chavez Park.  Instead, they have opted to cite people for feeding squirrels, gophers and other wild animals with a minimum fine of $100 after an initial warning period, and up to $500 for multiple infractions.  Feeding wild animals has caused the squirrel and gopher population to explode, causing an imbalance in wildlife populations, as well as potentially threatening the bay water.  An increase in squirrel and gopher burrows may cause toxics to leach into the bay.  Officials hope this new law will discourage people from feeding squirrels or gophers or other wild animals, and allow the wildlife populations to return to normal.

Berkeley, California has Pigeon Problems

People in Berkeley, California seek Pigeon Removal

I am living in a fairly large apartment building (80 units). Pigeons are causing a severe problem and annoyance especially in my area of the building. They keep coming to the front of my apartment door making those annoying cooing sounds. They are also landing on my balcony and defecating. The building has taken very minor steps to taking care of the issue. I have told them where the 100 or so pigeons stay throughout the day at a nearby highway off ramp and how much of a nuisance they have become. I was told that bird spikes would go back above my apartment which has not been done. They also said they would clean my balcony, which has not been done. I am fed up waiting for them. I want to know how these disgusting birds can be exterminated and I plan on giving them the bill. Scott J.

Neighbor next door feeds pigeons everyday and they roost on our house, our neighbors house and on the wires in our yard. We can not get the neighbors to stop feeding and the pigeon poop is killing our trees in the yard and contaminating our garden and yard and roofs. Help with suggestions besides killing my neighbor would be great. Nancy B.

I have a piece of siding on the eave of my roof that fell free in a storm, now there are pigeons..2-3 are there I need them removed and the hole sealed. John E.
