Rabbit Traps

rabbit trap

People usually look for rabbit traps to control overpopulation and damage to flowers, vegetables, trees and shrubs, especially in suburban yards, rural fields and tree plantations.  Rabbits, while they may appear cute and cuddly, can destroy years of hard work on a landscape or farm in an amazingly short period of time.

It is important to understand trapping laws and regulations in your area and to take these into consideration when creating your rabbit control plan.  There are many varieties of rabbit traps available to help control rabbit damage.  Snares, kill traps and live traps are probably the most popular and are available from a variety of sources.  But a trap alone will not solve your rabbit problem unless it is located and baited properly.  Also, once the rabbit or rabbits are caught, they have to be disposed of.  Again, knowing the law is critical.  Most places do not allow relocation of wild animals due to the possibility of spreading disease.

You should thoroughly familiarize yourself with your traps to make sure they are in working order and have been cleaned and maintained correctly to perform well.  It is unfortunate to finally lure in a pesky rabbit only to lose it due to a faulty trap.

Good luck with trapping rabbits.  If you would like professional assistance, consider Allstate Animal Control. At the least we can provide you with top quality products, or you can just turn the problem over to us and enjoy the benefits of complete rabbit control.
